An intensive musical theatre class for students ready to take their craft to the next level! Students will work on scenes and songs from hit Broadway musicals, with special focus on performance and pre-professional audition technique.

Rising 5th-8th Grade

For students looking to level up their performance game--an introduction to musical theatre scenework and performance! Students will build their skills in key performance discipline and work together to create exciting scenes and musical numbers from favorite classic and modern Broadway shows.

For young students looking to have fun while learning the basics of being on stage. Students will learn short scenes and songs while developing public speaking and teamwork skills.

Rising 8th-Outgoing Senior

Dates: July 25th- Band Practice

July 26th-Performance at Kingston Lanes in Woodstock

July 27th-Group song optional performance at Sew Hop'd Brewery in Huntley-MCC Block Party

Have you ever wanted to be the lead singer of a rock band? This class makes that dream come true! Sing with the musicians of "The Double Standard." Do you play an instrument? Bring it to practice and jam with a real rock band. Song selections must be approved and learned before practice. This year, our Rockstar students have been invited to perform 1-2  songs at MCC's Community Block party. In addition to learning their individual songs for our Kingston Lanes performance on July 26th, students will learn a group number for an optional performance at the block party on Sunday, July 27th.
